What’s on tonight: “Fringe” at 9p and “Scare Tactics” at 10p

Love it or hate it, “Fringe” is doing well enough in the ratings for it to be around for the rest of the season. So while “Sarah Connor Chronicles” continues its slow, agonizing death on Monday nights at 8p, remember the show that will be with you through thick and thin this season. Or at [...]

What’s on tonight: “Chuck”, “Heroes”, “Sarah Connor” and more

Tonight at 8p, Fox’s “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” will see some serious competition in the form of second season premiere of NBC’s action dramedy “Chuck.” On top of that, the one hour CBS comedy block of “Big Bang Theory” and “How I Met Your Mother” may be dividing the geek audience pie even more.
Fortunately, [...]

What’s on tonight: “Smallville” at 8p and “Supernatural” at 9p

The CW double feature that won’t die, “Smallville” and “Supernatural” are on tonight for their second episodes of the new season. In “Smallville” Clark Kent’s first days working at the Daily Planet include a meteor freak-of-the-week showing up to make his life hell. Didn’t they stop doing these kinds of stories about 6 seasons ago?
And [...]

What’s on tonight: “Knight Rider” series premiere at 8p

Another day another “re-envisioned” genre show from the past. Should you care? “Knight Rider” is good, simple fun, but unfortunately for NBC genre tastes have matured since the time when Hasselhoff’s hairy-chested posturing carried the show. Oh they tried, with a morphing car and lots of special effects. But you know and we know that [...]

What’s on tonight: “Eureka” finale vs “Fringe” 103 vs “Mentalist” series permiere at 9p

Too much good stuff on tonight. Must be why DVRs were invented. There is a particular concentration of geek shows at 9p tonight with the third episode of “Fringe” on FOX, the debut of CBS’ “The Mentalist” and the summer finale of the third season of “Eureka” on SciFi.
In terms of good TV, “Eureka” is [...]

“Terminator” at 8p, “Heroes” 2-hour premiere at 9p

This may actually be worth skipping tonight’s World of Warcraft raid for. Oh don’t give us that, you know you want “Terminator” to build on last week’s episode. You know you want “Heroes” to rock like Season 1. You’ll be watching. Either tonight on the television or tomorrow on the Internet. Let’s talk on Tuesday.

3 Panels: Fringe 102 “The Same Old Story”

“The Same Old [X-Files] Story” would be more like it. News flash for the FOX team, it’s ok to sell “Fringe” as an “X-Files” show. We like “X-Files.” Well, the first few seasons.
